Turkish before a race? Probably not your best bet. I generally just have pasta, or veggie burgers and salad (yes, I'm a renegade who eats fiber before a race). I'm paranoid about even going out to eat. In high school I freaking loved Ovaltine - I would mix the powder with coffee creamer for "dessert".
