A Tale of Two Photographers & Atlanta Meetup Details

I've had my fair share of bad photographs. By "fair share" I mean roughly 99% of the photos of me running look hideous. Apparently I run with both feet on the ground, eyes closed and hunched over for most races. Pretty sexy, if you ask me. Yesterday's race got captured by two photographers from the local newspaper. Although they were taken a second or two apart they tell two completely different race stories. Exhibit A: Powering through the finish. Looking strong. Vomit, me? Puh-lease. I rock at life.   Exhibit B: Death. Exhausted. Weird leg thing going on. Strange rat tail that I swore was just a regular braid at the beginning of the race.   Pretty amazing how two photos taken at the same time can convey such very different things.  Also - what's the deal on stealing race photos and putting them on your blog? Typically I feel guilty but these photos aren't for sale (just used by the newspaper) so I guess I feel okay about it.  Feel free to tell me if...

Wanna Hang Out? I have Muffins (and Winners!)

Fine, fine - I'll start with the winners. That way you guys don't have to deal with my drivel for any longer than necessary. As usual, it was a Random.org kind of day. The winners are: Ladies, send me an email with you mailing address and I'll get you some makeup in the mail ASAP! Megan, your inclusion of nude Ryan Gosling photos in my blog is duly noted. Believe me - if I could, I would. But I will say - in DRIVE? Really? Too gruesome for me. I like my man crushes with a side of wit and chocolate. A little more Notebook , a little less Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But to each their own. For the rest of you, bummer about not winning that makeup, right? Next time. If you want to console yourself with some muffins, these might be awesome: I used a random gluten free muffin mix I had lying around, but the secret to their deliciocity ( run with it ) was that I added Ovaltine and peanut butter to the batter. Can you tell I was desperately trying to make something dessert-l...

My Friday Run in Numbers & Atlanta Blogger Meetups!

Want to see my run today in number? I knew you did! So convenient. 8 - Number of miles managed today for my run. 3 - Immodium needed to make that run possible. 1 - Number of stops I still needed to make halfway through. Dang generic brand. 2 - Friends I got to run with.  17 - Times I regretted running on the treadmill so much. Running outside is a billion times better. 19 & 30 - Ages of my running partners. How awesome is it that a college student, a stay at home mom and little ole me can all have so much in common? Running! 16 - Miles we are planning to run on Sunday morning.  5 - Time I will have to wake up on Sunday morning for said run. 1 - Sushi date planned during the run. 11 - How happy I was, on a scale of 1-10,  to have hubby make me an awesome dinner tonight. Thanks! I would add up all those number and do something cool with it but I'm fresh out of ideas. You can have this random photo outtake gem instead of thought provokin...
