Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) I lived through my first 5am group run. I couldn't have asked for a better group of runners. It was a small group (5 of us altogether) but our average pace was 9:45 for 7 miles, which was perfect for chatting and getting to know each other as we ran. I'm excited to have some new running buddies, and I'm planning on running at last 10 miles of my long run on Saturday morning with them. Yay! As a reward for waking up at 4:15, I made myself this incredible bagel sandwich for lunch. For the record, even if you don't run at 5 am, or you know...ever, you should still make this.
