Yesterday we decided to show my MIL all the wonders of American consumerism--a trip to the local mall and Wal Mart. I thought it was important to show her how easy it was to pick up bread and ammunition all in the same place. Easy Peasy. Then a trip to the bookstore where we may have spent an inordinate amount of time looking at cookbooks. Now, I know I live in Georgia, but that Paula Deen is everywhere! There were a good 15 books with her face on them, and a huge line of cookware in Wal-Mart. Ridiculous. I did manage to find a book that suits me pretty well. What do you think? There were multiple cameras taking my picture at once. Not going to lie, it felt like the paparazzi were after me. Kind of awesome. Three of us went into Walmart to get a couple of boring things like cat food and vinegar. We left with $60 worth of crap. How does that happen?
