Chobani Review and Giveaway!

I'm pretty sure it's not a secret that me and Greek yogurt are in a serious relationship. I know, I know...hubby can read this. But he's well aware of the affair. At least once a day I need my fix. Sometimes it's a mid-morning snack with fruit, or a lunchtime topper for baked potatoes. Other times it's the sweet dessert topped with fruit and chocolate shavings that completes my night. Plain, vanilla, fruity...I could wax poetic about the stuff for ages.

Don't worry, I won't.

What I will say is that as much as I love Greek yogurt, I figured it was all the same. I saved a little money (18 cents on each container at my local store) in order to get the cheaper no-name brand. Then Chobani was on sale, so I picked up a few. Um, this stuff is THICK! So much creamier and thicker - and tastier - than any other brand I've tried. Sorry, extra 18 cents. You are now being diverted to my Chobani fund.

I won a Chobani giveaway a couple of weeks ago hosted by Itzy's kitchen, and got this awesome delivery sent to my door:

Obviously I couldn't wait to dig in. That was on Friday, and now almost 2 of those 32 ounce containers are finished. I wasn't kidding when I said I eat it every day. High protein, low in fat and calories, filling and tasty. Here are some of my favorite ways to use Greek yogurt:

Topped with fruit and PB rice cakes

Served with honey caramelized peaches

As a topping for baked potatoes
Hungry yet? I just ate dinner and I am again already. Dang pictures of good food are distracting me. Right - Chobani! I'm sure you want to win some of your own right? The lovely folks over at Chobani offered to send one reader a 12 pack of individual Chobani flavors to try out. Some of them include black cherry, lemon, apple cinnamon, blood orange, honey and pomegranate.

Here's how to win! None of these actions are mandatory, but the more you do the greater your odds of winning. Please leave a comment for each entry:
+1: Follow the blog Gourmet Runner
+1: Like Gourmet Runner on Facebook
+1: Like Chobani on Facebook too!
+1: Tell me your favorite way to use Greek yogurt
+1: Spread the word about this giveaway! Facebook, blogs, Twitter, whatever!
+1: Go here to see me as a featured blogger on Chobani's website and leave a comment there!

This giveaway is only available to those in North America (they are shipped cold so they can't travel far!) but my Canadian friends will only be able to receive limited flavors depending on what is available in their country. Just a heads up! The giveaway will last until midnight on January 9th. Good luck!

Note: I received the Chobani items featured free of charge thanks to a giveaway win from Itzy's Kitchen. I will also receive a 12 pack from Chobani as a Featured Blogger. However, as always all opinions are my own.
