Well, after a few hundred mass emails sent back and forth, I'm excited to say that I get to be a part of a pretty exciting thing tomorrow! The lovely Julia from Pain, Pride, and Perseverance happens to be visiting family in Kentucky for a few weeks, so she is bringing some of that Utah blogger love down South! Tomorrow in Nashville I'll be meeting up with her and a few other lovely bloggers, thanks to her great organizing skills. I can only assume it was planned for a Saturday so we can stuff our faces after long runs. That was the plan, right ladies?
I'm going to need more than one mini cupcake Julia.... |
Now we're talking! |
Aside from dreaming about cupcakes, I have been working out a little too. Wednesday I did my at-home circuit workout, which kicked my tush. I can handle just about everything on there...but burpees? They are the devil's workout move.
Yesterday I headed out for a speedwork session, with a planned 6X800 meters at a 7:56 pace. Made all the targets, thanks to some nice cool weather. Can you believe I'm wearing a sweater right now? I know it's just a weather tease, but the idea of fall is getting me excited....
Speaking of fall: the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I've seen it everywhere. It's like a autumn ritual for people in America.
I like pumpkins. I like lattes. So will this drink change my life? More importantly, it is worth the $72 or whatever Starbucks is selling their drinks for nowadays?
Have you ever met up with a blogger in real life?
Yes! Only one so far, but I had the pleasure of meeting Kat while I was in Savannah a couple of month ago. It was so great to meet a fellow runner and blogger! Tomorrow I hope to be adding TONS of new names to the list.
Are you in love with the Pumpkin Spice Latte? Should I try it?
Obviously I am incapable of making such huge decisions on my own, and need encouragement. I'm thinking that for tomorrow 3+ hour drive to Nashville, one of these guys might be in order!
I haven't met any bloggers in person as of yet. I would love love love to. If anyone comes to Wisconsin please let me know! haha I know it wont happen. A girl can wish!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had the Pumpkin Spice Latte either. I have been cooking with pumpkin like crazy the past two weeks so I would imagine it could only be amazing!
Hey Lady! I do love pumpkin but the latte not so much.
ReplyDeleteI do wish we could all meet somehow.... maybe next year we can all run the Savannah marathon together????
Have a great weekend and enjoy the meet and greet! =)
-Jen
Sarah, I live in WI! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you get to have a blogger meet up! Can't wait to hear all about it.
I have met Jess from Run with Jess and of course I know Kim from Life in the Twin Lane :)
I don't like coffee so I can't comment on the latte, but I do like spiced chai tea in the fall. Yummy!
I've met a few bloggers (and actually work with a couple in real life!). I wish it was easier to get together, though. I need more running friends!
ReplyDeleteI love the PSL. They are pricey, but they're seasonal, so I don't feel bad getting one every once in a while. That plus we rarely eat out, so it's my little treat.
WAIT WAIT WAIT...you haven't ever had a PSL???? WHAT???? I'm in disbelief!!! And I thought we were friends...
ReplyDeleteGirl grab your car keys and put the pedal to the medal to the nearest Starbucks to treat yourself to one. They are a little treat from heaven. My advice is to skip the whipped cream, just makes a greasy mess on the top and ruins it.
ps great workout
ReplyDeleteI like the pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. But I am not overly particular about my coffee either. I also like Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin coffee too and it's cheaper and less calories. I would say if you have some extra cash it is worth giving a try.
ReplyDeleteI feel like everyone is eating some kind of different pumpkin than I am...I mean I like it well enough but the blog world is acting like it is some kind of holy grail.
ReplyDeleteI can take or leave the special SBucks' coffee...even the lite version have lots o calories I could be eating not drinking.
I'M soooo jealous!! PLEASE include me in the mass eMails next time ((:
ReplyDeleteI LOVE pumpkin spice lattes!! I love the way it's spelled in your blogger label even better! (; haha You'll either love it or hate it. It seems to just be a general initiation into fall! YEAH FOR SWEATERS!!
I have met up with Jenn from PeasandCrayons.com, we live near each other. It was super neat! I need to try these lattes, I keep hearing about them, but I was so convinced for such a long time I hated pumpkin (I don't..) that I never tried one. I'm so excited for fall!!!!
ReplyDeletei am CRAZY about the pumpkin spice lattes. best. drink. ever.
ReplyDeleteThey are so worth the money and the calories because they are just so delicious!
ReplyDeleteyay i'm excited to meet you! I've only met up with Rebecca @ 50halfsin50states for several races and I randomly saw Jill @ Runforthehills (who will be there tomorrow) at the airport.
ReplyDeleteAsh and I are trying to figure out what to do with you guys tomorrow, so definitely email the group if you have any desires!
How fun I wish I could meet some fellow bloggers but I am in an isolated neck of the woods. I tend to go for the chai tea and I make them at home so way cheaper! But I say go for it! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAwww have fun at your blogger meet up!! You will love Julia, she is the best. Nice job on your speedwork.
ReplyDeleteOkay off to enter the giveaway.
I love pumpkin, but i admit, I have never tried the pumpkin spiced latte! Pumpkin beer, several different types, but the coffee? not so much! I am so jealous of your blogger meet up and the long run (oh how I want to run)! Have so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteI had the Pumpkin Spice Latte Monday and I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh!!!!!! Tomorrow is going to be the best! Thanks for reminding me how much I blog about cupcakes....oops! Haha ;) you gave me way too much credit for the organization part- could not have done it without all of you all keeping me in check! See you tom!!
ReplyDeleteSooo jealous. I love bloggers, blogger meetups and cupcakes. Ahhh! I have had a few and they are all amazing. Have a blast. Wish I was there to join in.
ReplyDeleteLOVE pumpkin lattes! I recommend a smaller size though, because after a while it gets to be a little much... but SO worth the $72 or whatever Starbucks charges now lol
ReplyDeleteI love all things pumpkin, but have yet to try the Starbucks one. I make some really delicious pumpkin chocolate chip cookies though!
ReplyDeletelucky lucky! wish I could come meet you both! go enjoy a pumpkin latte for me, k?
ReplyDelete:)
yes, i have met some bloggers! fun!
ReplyDeletesorry, but nothing about that pumpkin latte sounds good to me. lol. The mini cupcakes, on the other hand...
Yes, they are worth all $3, so is the gingerbread latte at Christmas. They will make you crave and dream of latte goodness.
ReplyDeleteAwesome speedwork and you're totally right burps=death
Enjoy your meetup!
i like the pumpkin spice ones but i always hold out for the gingerbread lattes at Christmas those are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI LOVEEEEEE the latte. I get mine made with soy and it is heavenly. I'm so jealous that you guys are getting to meet up! You two were one of the first followers on my blog and have been so sweet and supportive of me the whole time, give yourselves big hugs from me!
ReplyDeleteI don't do lattes. I prefer to save my calories for pumpkin in the form of baked goods!
ReplyDeleteHave fun tomorrow!!
Have fun meeting up with another blogger! I've met one other blogger locally, but hope to meet more as I travel~
ReplyDeleteI haven't met any bloggers in real life.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about the Pumpkin spice latte - it sounds sweet and I can only manage to get down 1 or 2 forkfuls of pumpkin pie at holiday gatherings...
But I do think it may be a required element for your long drive :-)
Mmmmm....love pumpkin spice lattes. Delicious.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had my starbucks fix yet -- meet me at one in Huntsville on your way to nashville tomorrow!! =D
ReplyDeleteI would love to meet up with a blogger! Especially because I'm watching mine die a slow, painful death! ahah
ReplyDeleteI totally wish I was able to make it down this weekend! You gals are gonna have sooo much fun and will have to fil me in!
ReplyDeletePumpkin Spice Latte is the perfect start to cooler weather and fall!
Last yea I was OBSESSED with pumpkin spice lattes!!! I got one this morning, though, and it was WAY too sweet! Idk if I just forgot what they tasted like, if they are more syrupy than usual this year, or if my barista just added one too many pumps! But I was seriously sad that it wasn't as blissful as I remember from last year.
ReplyDeleteThat story was pretty pointless lol. OH WELL!
CONFESSION: I haven't ever had a PSL!! I must pop my cherry as they look delish!
ReplyDelete'
Oh I heart Julia!! YOu two are on my list of "must meet" too!! Beautiful women inside and out!
I'm not crazy about the pumpkin spice latte. (And for some reason whenever I type pumpkin lately I always type pumpking) I AM excited about being able to find Libby's canned pumpkin when I go to the grocery store, though.
ReplyDeleteI have met about half of the bloggers on my side bar. Real life bloggy meet ups are awesomely fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but have heard great reviews, I am not a huge speciality drink person. That is awesome that you got a chance to meet up with Julia!!
ReplyDeleteI'd highly recommend the PSL...a great fall treat!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so jealous of your blogger meet up! I wish I could come to Nashville!
ReplyDeleteI love pumpkin spice lattes. I may be getting one tomorrow just because they've been out for days and I haven't had one yet! I so miss working there and having unlimited free access. I've only met Kara, but that was awesome, so now I want to meet all my blogger friends in real life. A blogger meetup sounds like paradise. Have a great long run and have fun!
ReplyDeletemmm pumpkin, I still haven't had it this season yet!!! And I will I lived down south this weekend. Have fun girls!!!
ReplyDeleteyay! glad i get to meet you! the pumpkin latte is mmmmm mmmm mm, but i do like my caramel macchiato just as well.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter works at Starbucks...I'm not sure I'd ever go there again after the stories. ha. (they love to mix decaf into everyone's drinks. Mean!). Have a blast with the meet up! I've been luck to meet tons of bloggers, but that's mostly becasuse tons were at Boston! So much fun!
ReplyDeleteI have been making one for years that I like better than the 'Bucks, but try it out if you like pumpkin...
ReplyDeleteHave a blast at the meetup ... can't wait for the pics.
AHHH...i'm so jealous!! i wish i could be there!! have an awesome time with julia, and can't wait for the play-by-play after...hehe. :)
ReplyDeletehave a GREAT run and i hope that heat isn't too bad!!
I just went to my first blogger meet-up 2 weeks ago...you will have so much fun!! Not sure there are too many more Kentucky bloggers to meet.
ReplyDeleteMy mom loves PSL but isn't a big coffee drinker. I am a big coffee drinker, the stronger the better, and I find PSL to be way too sweet. But a shot of the pumpkin syrup in coffee is a good (cheaper) compromise!
I've never tried pumpkin spice! Last year my favorite was the creme brulee one...
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the meetup lady!!
ReplyDeleteI have never had the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice products. Mostly because they cost like two hundred dollars or some crap. haha not really but I just hate wasting money on something I could probably make at home for like twenty cents!!
YES! I've met up with several bloggers IRL. And now I count a few of those as my very close friends!
ReplyDeleteNever had a pumpkin watchamacallit but I doooooo love pumpkin treats. Pumpkin seeds, pumpkin bread, pumpkin candles (not to eat of course!)
Have fun at your meet up!
I never had a pumpkin spice latte but might have to get one! I can't wait to get the eggnog ones again.
ReplyDeleteI love pumpkin spice lattes!!! YUM!
