Awww, you guys!

So there I was, checking up on blog, reading all the wonderful comments you leave...
And BOOM! I have over 100 followers!
This means the world to me, I am so excited to have a connection with each of you. I love reading your blogs and learning more about you. I pick up muchos tips about running, health, recipes, and life--so thanks! If you were here I would let you pick one of these desserts as your reward:

His and Hers desserts!

His: Greek yogurt with cocoa puffs and strawberries
Hers: Greek yogurt with strawberries, grapes, and chopped almonds

Poor hubs has to eat his out of a tupperware container. No biggie. These tasty treats followed a delicious dinner of ricotta manicotti and sliced cucumber. Of course some rye bread on the side to sop up all the yummy tomato sauce.

And now I'm off to watch a 90 minute episode of Glee. Please someone say they love this show so I don't feel too lame. Thanks!

Tell me, tell me: what is your favorite show you're embarrassed to tell people you watch?
I may or may not watch any/all of the Kardashian shows when I'm foam rolling. They're always on E! Sometimes it's the best 15 minutes of my day. Don't judge.

Which dessert would you pick?
So Im doing sugar-free, so technically I HAVE to pick mine, but actually I think I would anyway! Almonds add some much needed crunch to the mix.

  1. I absolutely love glee but I lost power about 30minutes ago due to hail and severe rain here in PA. So I will have to catch it online I hope. Or hope someone recorded it.

  6. Hooray for 101 followers! And I would pick your dessert. But brace yourself for the next answer because I sometimes find myself watching Hannah Montana. If that's not embarrassing, I don't know what is!

  8. I have a closet obsession for the Real Housewives shows. I always play like I don't watch them, but I always do.

Your dessert is a winner because it has strawberries, they win every time.

  13. Oh I love Glee! I wish I could watch it but we don't have cable :( I will just have to wait until it is on Netflix.

my guilty pleasure that I am embarrassed to tell is that I like to watch the cheesy ABC Family shows like: Make it or Break it and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
The shows don't have the greatest acting but I just can't stay away! lol

  14. oh, i'm going to have to catch up on your blog since i just became a follower! going sugar free, huh? that's been weighing on my mind lately. curious to read more about it...

i'm not a Glee watcher, but i did catch one episode and liked it. i just don't commit to many shows. my husband and i love Community, which tends to be very strange and quirky. i think it may be going away soon, actually. i love Phineas & Ferb too! ( :

  15. I love the Kardashians! I don't like people to know that I actual love Lifetime movies. I haven't ever watched Glee, but I am a big musical lover so I know I would like it...I'll check it out on Hulu. Congrats on 100!!

  16. I can't seem to turn away either when I catch a Kardashian on E! I don't even particularly like them, but I always stop when I see their show on.

I love almonds, too! I probably would pick your dessert, too :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ooo I LOVE the idea of cocoa puffs and greek yogurt. YUM! However...the almonds might make me lean a little more towards yours.

Congrats on 100 followers, I hope to get there someday soon :-)

  18. How exciting reaching 100! Hope I can get there someday! I'll join the club and start following you. I like your sense of humor!

Man those Kardashians are everywhere! And I love watching all their shows. I'm not embarassed about it...but I am embarassed that I follow kloe on twitter.

I wouldn't pick either dessert. I'd put them all in the same bowl and just eat it like that!

  19. I watch so much crap tv it is embarrassing. You would think I was a 15-year-old girl. The Vampire Diaries, Glee, 90210, Make it or Break it, and more. I don't like to have to think too hard when I watch tv!

    ReplyDelete
  20. As if the Kardashians weren't bad enough... I watched a few episodes of "Pretty Wild" one night and prayed no one would catch me!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wohoo for 100! Way to go lady! I am totally lame and watch 90210 and One tree hill. Both of which are filled with terrible acting and sometimes it is painful to watch but I just can't help myself ;-/
Hands down, tiramisu is my fav!

  22. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Glee but our DVR deleted an episode and we are currently 3 episodes behind! I made my husband promise we could catch up on Friday. Your desserts sound awesome but can I have a brownie sundae instead?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't watch Glee, but the K's...heck ya! Who can resist, of course I feel guilty watching it like, "what is this world coming to?" Then I think, "It's your own fault, you are supporting their show thus contribution to the down fall of the future generation!!" :)

How are you liking the no sugar? I read sugar changes the way we metabolize food, it's like a drug (technically) because it changes our blood levels, it's addictive and it has no nutritional value. The book also said you'd lose water weight right away because it causes one to retain water...um, it totally did. I think I lost a quick 4 pounds without doing anything but the no sugar for a few days. Good luck, keep us posted.

  28. LOVE glee!! I've been totally hating Gaga's new anthem but LOVED it on glee last night!! (;

    Congrats on 100 followers!!

  29. I'm not doing sugar free, but I'd totally pick your dessert. I prefer fruit over candy almost all the time.

I loved last night's episode of Glee. I'm curious where they go with the OCD. On one hand, at her level it's debilitating enough that they probably SHOULD take a pro-medication stance, but on the other hand, they need to emphasize that not everything needs to be fixed with medication.

I watch every single Bachelor related show. Totally addicted.

  30. I also foam roll to good-bad television! Usually The Rachel Zoe project or basically, anything else on Bravo!

Race the Bar 5k Recap (AKA: A Personal Worst!)

Do you remember a few weeks back, when I was all braggy about running in Florida in February/March? Sunny mornings around a lake with a light breeze off the water have turned, cruelly, into humid stretches of time where I am humbly reminded of my own limitations. You guys, I see these gazelle-like creatures, men and women alike, who prance on my running route with compression socks, a soft glow of perspiration at their brow. It's beautiful. It's also a harsh reminder that I am not them. I am currently running in the thinnest, smallest items of clothing I can without offending anyone (shirt stays on, people). I dare not step outside without some awful visor or wide-brimmed hat. When I hop in the shower after a run, my face is a deep crimson that causes my husband to voice his concern for my general well-being. Have I mentioned this is what happens after my easy runs, with a few walk breaks thrown in? Yeah. It's humbling. Now, I'm not complaining. It's beautiful

Brace Yourselves: Cuteness is Coming

One of the hardest things about moving, for me, was wondering how the cats would adjust each time. Although our cats are super travelers at this stage, I feel really guilty every time we have to pack them up and force them onto a plane. I remember my grandma telling me years ago that when she moved with a cat, they put butter on their paws. That way, the cats spent the first day in a new house licking their paws to get them clean, and that was enough time to lose the "smell" of the old house. I love that story, and I wish the same principle applied to longer moves. Anyway, that's a super long intro to say that for the fellow cat ladies out there, our three fur babies are insanely happy in this jungle gym of a home here in Florida. It's warm, there are plenty of sunny spots to curl up a take a nap, and they have lots of room to spread out. Despite the space, of course, they still usually want to take a nap on my head at night. Obviously. They also love climbing on ou

Running Jewelry Giveaway from The Run Home!

Running has a tendency at times to make me feel just a little less feminine that I might like. The curves might disappear just a little (well...the top ones at least. Bottom ones are still out in full force) and I spend more time fiddling with my Garmin than I do putting on make-up. So I love when I can show my interest in running with a beautiful, feminine piece of jewelry. I recently received two necklaces from the great people at The Run Home.   They have an Etsy store full of inspirational necklaces, bracelets and more for athletes. I received this beautiful necklace in the mail from them: A cute running shoe, heart, and a hand-stamped 26.2 charm. In all honesty, I don't think I'll wear this until I have finished the marathon in November. Kind of like wearing a race shirt before you completed the race! But it will make the perfect reward and I can't wait to wear it with pride. The Run Home sent everything to me perfectly packaged--like it was a gift. I loved that:
